The participation of the young in the politics

Permanently we are wondering why the young do not register in the electoral records, which will be the reasons and who are the persons in charge.

In this matter, there has not been a wide and consistent discussion with regard to the topic of the political participation of the young persons, in which the vision joins of them themselves respect of the topic and respect of the valuation that they do of the democracy and of whom they exercise the politics.

We know that the young persons value the democracy. In general, they consider it to be the best alternative of government and the majority he thinks that the democracy serves them.

Nevertheless, the majority of the young persons associate the democracy principally with the equality and / or justice, the freedom of expression and the rights. It is not of be surprising that Chile, having turned into a paradigm of development into the region, do not be foreign for the young persons the fact that it continues being one of the countries with worse inequality of the revenue in the world. Great part of the young persons agrees with that Chile is a democratic company that needs development. Consulted on what it must improve, they incline towards the lack of opportunities and the inequality and social differences.

Briefly, the young persons support the democracy, always and when it provides social collective and personal justice and it is capable of generating effective opportunities. In consequence, the political indifference of the young persons, operates as a response before the dissonance between the ideal one of democracy and the disability of the political system to offer social cohesion.
